Silambarasan TR's next big film, Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, is all set for a massive worldwide release on September 15, and the venture has fans everywhere excited as it marks the third time the actor has collaborated with director Gautham Vasudev Menon and Academy Award-winning composer A., R. Rahman. The upcoming film produced by Dr. Ishari K. Ganesh's Vels Film International banner had a grand audio launch event held at the Vels University in Chennai on Friday, September 2, in the presence of more than 5,000 fans. With the VTK trailer also released yesterday evening to a stunning response, another big incident stirred up a huge debate on social media after it was reported that Simbu had arrived at the Vels University premises in a helicopter.

The news of STR arriving in a chopper along with chief guest Kamal Haasan to the Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu audio release event began circulating even before the proceedings kicked off, which were later addressed at the event. Responding to the rumors about him arriving in a helicopter to the venue, the flamboyant STR informed fans that he did not fly in a chopper to the Vels University premises. He further stated that he had traveled on road in his car as the location was nearby even though arrangements were made by the production house to fly in using a helicopter. The chopper flying over the VTK audio launch venue before the event flagged off created a lot of buzz leaving many fans excited, who had hoped to witness Simbu's arrival.

Coming back to Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu, the film will see Silambarasan sharing screen space with popular Telugu heroine Siddhi Idnani, who is the female lead, with the supporting cast featuring the likes of iconic actress Radikaa Sarathkumar, Appu Kutty, Malayalam actor Neeraj Madhav among others in pivotal roles. The film has been carrying a lot of excitement and expectations ever since it was announced as it marks the third occasion Simbu, Gautham Menon and A. R. Rahman joined hands once again after their Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa (2010) and Achcham Yenbadhu Madamaiyada (2016).
