Following the box office success of Sivakarthikeyan's Don, SJ Suryah is all geared up for the release of his next film, this time as a lead hero. SJ Suryah's next release in Tamil cinema will be Kadamayai Sei which has now been officially announced to release in theatres on June 24, 3 weeks from now. Kadamayai Sei is expected to feature SJ Suryah in a different dimension and Yashika Aannand plays the female lead. The announcement was made through a new poster.

Sharing the announcement poster on his official Twitter page, SJ Suryah tweeted, "Happy to share the movies me as lead , have got triggered towards release 💐 💐 💐 💐 💐 BOMMAI TRAILER ALREADY RUNNING IN THEATRES TOO 👍 👍 👍 👍 & “KADAMAYAI SEI” MOVIE ITSELF RELEASING ON 24th THIS MONTH 💐 💐 💐 🙏". Kadamayai Sei is directed by Venkatt Ragavan, a former associate of Sundar C and he has already directed the Tamil comedy-drama, Muthina Kathirikka. Produced by TR Ramesh under the banner of Ganesh Entertainment in association with Zahir Hussain's Nahar Films, the film has music composed by Arun Raj, while Vinoth Rathinasamy and Srikanth NB have taken care of the cinematography and editing departments respectively.

Pradeep Dinesh has choreographed the stunt sequences. Keeping aside Kadamayai Sei, SJ Suryah also has Bommai getting ready for its release and the film is set for a theatrical release in July. Bommai features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The trailer of the film which released recently opened to positive reviews from the audience. SJ Suryah has also completed shooting a web series titled Vadhandhi for the Amazon Prime Video platform. Vadhandhi is directed by Andrew Louis of Kolaigaran fame.
