Leading Tamil actor Sivakarthikeyan has been busy shooting for the tentatively titled SK 20 with director KV Anudeep, who is known for his smash hit, Jathi Ratnalu, in Telugu. Touted to be a comedy entertainer, the upcoming film is a Tamil-Telugu bilingual and will include music by chart-buster composer Thaman. S. Jointly being produced by Sree Venkateswara Cinemas and Suresh Productions in association with Shanthi Talkies, a major chunk of filming on SK 20 has already been completed, with the makers on Thursday announcing that the Sivakarthikeyan-starrer's Tamil Nadu theatrical rights have been acquired by reputed film distributor and financier GN Anbuchezhian's Gopuram Cinemas banner. Below is the announcement:

GN Anbuchezhian's Gopuram Cinemas coming on board to distribute Sivakarthikeyan's SK 20 in Tamil Nadu is no doubt a big boost and we can expect the film to get a wide release in theatres across the state. Filming has been progressing at a steady brisk pace and major portions have already been shot, with the team recently also announcing that Ukrainian actress and model Maria Ryaboshapka has been cast as the female lead, who is best known for playing the role of Natasha in the Disney Hotstar web series, Special OPS 1.5: The Himmat Story

Apart from Sivakarthikeyan and Maria Ryaboshapka in the lead roles, SK 20, which is yet to receive a title, also has in its star cast names like ace veteran actor Sathyaraj in a pivotal role. The film will incidentally mark his reunion with SK after their 2013 box office success, Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam. Furthermore, the upcoming Sivakarthikeyan-starrer also features Premgi Amaren and Prankster Rahul in major supporting roles and their inclusion will add to the fun factor in the film. SK 20 also has a stellar technical team among whom are cinematographer Manoj Paramahamsa of 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Beast fame and Maanaadu editor Praveen K. L. and their inclusion in the film are massive additions.
