Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran also released in Telugu under the title Mahaveerudu is continuing to witness a strong showing in cinemas and has been declared a blockbuster. Directed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame and produced under Arun Viswa's Shanthi Talkies banner, the political fantasy action drama film has now undergone a change in its screenings in the United Kingdom where it has been released by leading overseas distributor Ahimsa Entertainment. On Sunday, July 23, Ahimsa Entertainment took to Twitter to share the news that they have made a few small cuts with Sivakarthikeyan's Maaveeran in order to achieve a 12A rating in the UK.

This latest change with the Maaveeran screenings in the UK has been brought into effect to be suitable for children aged 12 and over. It is to be noted that Ahimsa Entertainment in association with Hamsini Entertainment has bagged the entire overseas release distribution rights for the latest Sivakarthikeyan-starrer, which incidentally crossed $200,000 in gross collections in the first two days in the USA. The film has been seeing a huge audience turnout abroad and is also the actor-producer's largest overseas release in his career. Maaveeran is already another box office blockbuster for Sivakarthikeyan having grossed 50 crores in worldwide collections in less than a week and is soon expected to enter the 100-crore club next along the lines of his Doctor (2021) and Don (2022).

Maaveeran has Sivakarthikeyan paired with ace filmmaker Shankar's daughter Aditi Shankar, who became a sensation after her debut in Karthi's Viruman (2022), and has once again delivered a neat and noteworthy performance. The duo share screen space alongside several notable names in the film starting with Mysskin as the antagonist, followed by veteran actress Saritha cast as SK's mother, comedy actor Yogi Babu too making an appearance and evoking plenty of laughs, while 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi has a special voice-over.
