Maaveeran is the next big film by actor Sivakarthikeyan that was released on July 14. The film was received well by fans, movie buffs, and critics and is running successfully in theatres. The production house bankrolling the film Shanthi Talkies has revealed an exciting new sneak peek from the film one week after its release. The glimpse video features the hilarious combo of Yogi Babu and the lead actor, Sivakarthikeyan, as the characters Sathya and ‘Patchwork’ Kumar. The film is helmed by Madonne Ashwin of Mandela fame, with songs and a background score composed by Bharath Sankar.

The sneak peek opens with the character Sathya played by Sivakarthikeyan looking at the ceiling and talking, just as shown in Maaveeran trailer and glimpse videos, and actress Aditi Shankar is also present on the scene. Veteran Actress Saritha, who plays Sivakarthikeyan's mother in the film, then enters the house and is happy that her son has finally got the strength to stand against a minister and says the voice he hears is a god that she has been worshipping. The heroine asks him to say sorry to the minister, to which Sathya agrees. He talks to the voice above, saying, "Please stop telling me stories for one day." As Yogi Babu, who is doing patchwork in the house, overhears the whole conversation, he talks to himself, to which SK reacts with an innocent yet hilarious reply.
Maaveeran, which was released last week, has been a blockbuster hit film, and the sneak peek video also ends with the words "blockbuster response". The film has an ensemble cast that includes Aditi Shankar as the female lead, Mysskin as the antagonist, Veteran Actress Saritha, Yogi Babu, Telugu actor Sunil, Cook With Comali fame Monisha, and others in important roles. It features a special voiceover by Vijay Sethupathi in Tamil and by actor Ravi Teja in Telugu.
