Academy Award-winning music composer M. M. Keeravani revealed on social media on Sunday, July 23, that he has watched Lyca Productions' next magnum opus, Chandramukhi 2, directed by veteran Tamil filmmaker P. Vasu. The celebrated Telugu music director shared his opinion on Twitter after watching the Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut-starrer saying he spent sleepless days and nights for two months to work on the film's music. M. M. Keeravani tweeted, "Watched @LycaProductions Chandramukhi 2. The characters in the movie spend sleepless nights from fear of DEATH . for me 2 months of sleepless days and nights for adding LIFE to the mind blowing scenes with my efforts. GuruKiran & my friend Vidyasagar pls wish me the best 🙏🙏 (sic)".

M. M. Keeravani's latest statement about Chandramukhi 2 and the film's music has no doubt raised the excitement a notch above ahead of its grand theatrical release this September on the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chathurthi. The upcoming film will see actor-filmmaker Raghava Lawrence paired with National Award-winning actress Kangana Ranaut, whose last big outing in Tamil was Thalaivii (2021), which was a biopic on the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa. Chandramukhi 2 marks M. M. Keeravani's straight Tamil film comeback after he last composed nearly two decades back for Sibiraj's debut Student Number 1 (2003) and expectations are huge for him to deliver a cracker of an album after his 'Naatu Naatu' in S. S. Rajamouli's global hit, RRR, won the Academy Award for 'Best Original Song' at the Oscars earlier this year.
The buzz for Lyca Productions' Chandramukhi 2 is huge considering it also marks the big comeback of P. Vasu after his last film Shivalinga (2017) with Raghava Lawrence in the lead role. It is to be noted that the iconic Tamil filmmaker previously directed the box office blockbuster Chandramukhi (2004) with 'Superstar' Rajinikanth. Chandramukhi 2 will see Raghava Lawrence and Kangana Ranaut sharing screen space alongside an ensemble star cast featuring the likes of 'Vaigai Puyal' Vadivelu, Raadhika Sarathkumar, Lakshmi Menon, Mahima Nambiar, Srushti Dange, Rao Ramesh, Ravi Mariya, Suresh Menon, T.
