Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu has found its female lead and the official announcement regarding the same is out. Yes! The makers have signed the young and promising Siddhi Idnani as the female lead and star filmmaker Gautham Vasudev Menon is all set to introduce one more talented actress in Tamil cinema. Siddhi Idnani will be seen playing the character of Paavai in VTK which has Simbu in the role of Muthu. The announcement was made through a new poster in which we see STR and Siddhi together and the duo look refreshing together as a pair.

Gautham Vasudev Menon is known for creating strong women characters in his movies and it is going to be interesting to see what Siddhi Idnani has to offer. For the unversed, Siddhi Idnani is a popular Mumbai-based model, who has acted in a few Telugu films. Siddhi has acted in movies like Jamba Lakidi Pamba, Prema Katha Chitra 2, and Anukunnadi Okati Ayinadi Okati. She will be making her debut in Tamil cinema with Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu. Along with the heroine announcement, Gautham Menon shared an additional update about the progress of the film.

The last schedule of VTK is all set to begin on January 3 and the scenes between STR and Siddhi Idnani will be shot in this schedule. Sharing the announcement poster, Gautham Vasudev Menon tweeted, "Final schedule begins 3rd January 2022 with @SiddhiIdnani as Muthu’s Paavai!". The teaser of VTK that was released a few days before had garnered a highly positive response from the film buffs and A.R.Rahman's mesmerising song, 'Marakkuma Nenjam' touched the hearts of the viewers instantly. Produced by Ishari K Ganesh under the banner of Vels Film International, the film has cinematography by Sidhartha Nuni and editing by Anthony.
