Reputed Telugu film producer-distributor Dil Raju has announced that the shooting of the Bollywood film, HIT - The First Case, has come to a wrap. Being jointly produced by blockbuster Hindi producers Bhushan Kumar, Krishnan Kumar, and Kuldeep Rathore's T-Series in association with Dil Raju Productions, a subsidiary of Sri Venkateswara Creations, the team announced on Monday that the production of the upcoming mystery thriller starring Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra has been completed. Dil Raju, who recently launched his Thalapathy 66 with Tamil superstar Vijay, shared a photo of the team of HIT - The First Case, with Rajkummar Rao and Sanya Malhotra kicking off the celebrations.

HIT - The First Case is an official remake of the critically-acclaimed 2020 Telugu film of the same title, which had Vishwak Sen and Ruhani Sharma in the lead roles and was directed by Dr. Sailesh Kolanu under actor Nani’s Wall Poster Cinema banner. The Hindi remake is scheduled for release on May 20 and will revolve around a cop played by Rajkummar Rao, who is in search of a woman after she goes missing under mysterious circumstances. HIT stands for Homicide Intervention Team and sees Sailesh Kolanu return to the director's chair once again for the Hindi remake after he helmed the Telugu original.

Apart from HIT - The First Case, Dil Raju is collaborating with Gunaa Teamworks for the Telugu mythological drama film Shaakuntalam starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu under Gunasekhar's direction. Dil Raju's next big release is the rom-com F3, a standalone sequel to the 2019 film F2: Fun and Frustration, and is the next in the Fun and Frustration series, with Venkatesh, Varun Tej, Tamannaah, and Mehreen Pirzada forming the lead cast. As for Thalapathy 66 being directed by Vamshi Paidipally, the film is billed to be a family entertainer and has Vijay sharing screen space with national sensation Rashmika Mandanna for the first time.
