Raghava Lawrence will be starring in the sequel of Superstar Rajinikanth's classic blockbuster, Chandramukhi and the official announcement on the project was made a few weeks back. Following that, a new development has now been known and here are the details about it. The shooting of Chandramukhi 2 begins today (July 15) and the proceedings will kickstart in Mysore with Raghava Lawrence and others. Lawrence met Superstar Rajinikanth this morning at his residence and seeked for his blessings, ahead of the commencement of shoot.

Sharing the pictures from his special meeting with Rajinikanth, an elated Raghava Lawrence tweeted, "Hi friends and fans, Today Chandramukhi 2 shooting begins in Mysore with my Thalaivar and guru’s @rajinikanth blessings! I need all your wishes! 🙏🏼🙏🏼 #Chandramukhi2". Chandramukhi 2 is directed by P Vasu who helmed the first part and it is going to be exciting to see what he has in store for the audience this time. The highlight aspect of Chandramukhi 2 is going to be the presence of Vaigiapuyal Vadivelu and the fans are in for a delightful treat. Vadivelu's comedies were widely enjoyed by the audiences in Chandramukhi and it still stands fresh.

One can expect the magic to repeat in Chandramukhi 2 as well. Produced by A Subaskaran's Lyca Productions, the film will have music composed by the legendary MM Keeravani. Meanwhile, Raghava Lawrence's next release in Kollywood will be Rudhran which is an action packed mass entertainer directed by S Kathiresan who has produced hit films like Polladhavan, Aadukalam, and Jigarthanda. Rudhran features Priya Bhavani Shankar as the female lead and has music composed by GV Prakash. The film is slated for release on December 23. Lawrence will also be starring in a new film titled Adhigaaram which is directed by RS Durai Senthilkumar of Kodi fame and written by acclaimed filmmaker Vetri Maaran.
