EXCLUSIVE: Vijay Antony reveals why the film was titled Pichaikkaran 2 and not Bikili! Here's his full statement!

Vijay Antony is a multi-talented person who is acting, directing, editing and composing music for his upcoming film Pichaikkaran 2. The film has created n excitement among fans as the first part was a hit that was enjoyed by many. The film has the caption Anti-Bikili and is bankrolled under his banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation headed by his wife Fatima Vijay Antony. The trailer and songs from the film have already been released and shows that the actor is playing the 7th richest person in India and shows it will be a thrilling drama film. It is set to release in theatres on 19th May.

Ahead of the release of Pichaiakkaran 2, Vijay Antony gave an exclusive interview to Galatta Plus with national award-winning critic Baradwaj Rangan. As the critic asked the meaning behind the word Anti-Bikili, the actor said “money was invented about 10,000 years ago, sir. Till then there was not much poverty sir, when they invented money, those who knew the importance and the power of it got hold of it. Even now, some people do not know much about it. If you see now, 0.001% of people would be crazy rich. So, only about 500 people around the world would have the money. We say Elon Musk is the richest person but some people who are richer than him are actually present, like investors in sectors. So there is no equilibrium in society after money was invented. This has caused vast differences. In my opinion, money is the reason for this. If money was not invented, one person cannot hold wealth after an extent. You can get an area of land, but only after money was invented they are buying things they haven’t even seen. But, sometimes those who are rich try to dominate poor people. Being rich is not wrong but that arrogance, he couldn’t make people slaves under him. So I have created the word to call those people out. I wanted to call those who are arrogant about their money with the term Bikili and those who are against it as Anti-bikili."

When asked why he named the film Pichaikkaran 2 and not Bikili, Vijay Antony said his intention was to draw people to theatres. "The person who is the 7th richest person is a Pichaikkaran, why? that is (the story of) the film and so we can say that the title is apt for the film. When we add Anti-Bikili to the title it will build a curiosity that's why", explained the actor
