Vijay Antony is a popular music composer turned actor, whose upcoming film Pichaikkaran 2 is set to release in theatres on May 12. The anticipated sequel is also directed and edited by the actor and is produced by his wife Fathima Vijay Antony under the banner Vijay Antony Film Corporation. The thriller-drama has a huge star cast that includes Radha Ravi, Y Gee Mahendran, Mansoor Ali Khan, Hareesh Peradi, John Vijay and Yogi Babu with Kavya Thapar as the female lead.

Ahead of the release of the Pichaikkaran 2, the actor gave an exclusive interview to Galatta media and shared some exciting details. Speaking about the film, The actor said “Pichaikkaran 1 was much close to reality. He (the character) will become a rich person in the first reel or within 10 minutes as the film begin. So, it was easy to handle. Even the location was not much complicated, we shot near here, in and around Pondicherry and so on. But, this Pichaikkaran (Pichaikkaran 2) is not like that, he is the 7th richest person in India. So, he was a little difficult to handle. In terms of production value, there would be many values right, a little bit of comedy, some religious values. We have have retained them in this film, but on a larger scale”.

The multi-talented person Vijay Antony met with an serious accident during the shooting of the film. When asked about speculations that he was working with his laptop even when he was recovering from the accident in the hospital, the actor said there was no pain because he took anesthesia and he was bored and began overthinking. so to keep his mind occupied, he had to do some work. “I didn’t think of it as an achievement,” said the director, editor, music composer and hero of Pichaikkaran 2.
