Acclaimed director Mysskin's next Tamil film, Pisasu 2, produced by T. Murugananantham under the Rockfort Entertainment banner and starring Andrea Jeremiah is also coming out in Telugu under the title Pishachi 2 and will be released by blockbuster producer-distributor Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner. The announcement was made on Thursday and has come a day after SVC launched their next big venture, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 66, starring Tamil superstar Vijay and youth sensation Rashmika Mandanna. Check out the Pishachi 2 announcement below:

With Sri Venkateswara Creations now coming forward to present Pishachi 2 to Telugu audiences, we can expect the film to get a big release in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana regions. Dil Raju is known to get his films a large release across the states and Mysskin's next film too will be consistent with the earlier ventures he has distributed. Apart from Andrea, Pisasu 2 also has Poorna (Shamna Kasim), Santhosh Prathap, Namita Krishnamurthy (Triples web series fame) in major supporting roles, with 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi also playing an important cameo in the film.

As of now, there are no details regarding the release date for Pisasu 2 but can be expected to come out in the days ahead considering pre-release formalities have now officially kicked off. For a while, there were rumors doing the rounds that the film could be skipping a theatrical release and instead premiere directly on a streaming platform, with the latest announcement now putting an end to all such speculations. Mysskin will be looking to once again hit the high note with Pisasu 2 after he tasted critical and commercial success with his Pisaasu in 2013. The filmmaker has also gone on to praise Andrea on a number of occasions and declared her to have delivered an award-winning performance in the upcoming horror film. Composer Karthik Raja has composed the songs and the background score in the film and we can expect him to come up with memorable music once again.
