Acclaimed director Mysskin's Pisasu 2 is nearing the finish line and is currently in the post-production stages. Touted to be a horror thriller, the upcoming film has Andrea Jeremiah in the lead role and will see her reuniting with Mysskin after Thupparivaalan in 2017. Produced by T. Murugananantham under the Rockfort Entertainment banner and featuring music by Karthik Raja, the film is expected to be a big comeback for the ace composer. As work on the film is still underway, the makers on Saturday released the much-awaited first single track from Pisasu 2 titled 'Uchanthala Regaiyile' sung by Sid Sriram with lyrics penned by Kabilan.
'Uchanthala Regaiyile' in Pisasu 2 is a soulful number and is a breezy listen for everyone who enjoys melodious songs. Although the song's lyric video has several montage stills from the film, we can expect Mysskin to elevate it up a notch when the film comes out later. Mysskin has always given prominence to the songs in his previous films and it will be interesting to see how the filmmaker presents the 'Uchanthala Regaiyile' track. Andrea, who has garnered a reputation for taking up challenging roles, is once again expected to deliver a memorable performance in Pisasu 2, with Mysskin in one of his earlier interactions stating that the actress would land accolades for her role in the film.
Apart from Andrea, Pisasu 2 has Poorna (Shamna Kasim), Santhosh Prathap, Namita Krishnamurthy (Triples web series fame) in major supporting roles. Furthermore, 'Makkal Selvan' Vijay Sethupathi will be seen playing an important cameo in the film. Although there has been no official statement in regard to Pisasu 2's release, reports have been doing the rounds that the film could arrive in December during the Christmas weekend. There are also rumors that several leading OTT platforms are keen on acquiring the film's streaming rights. Check out below the 'Uchanthala Regaiyile' song from Mysskin's Pisasu 2:
