Mallika Kapoor in Jack and Jill

Mallika Kapoor, the doe-eyed heroine in South Indian films, is better known to Malayalam filmgoers through her debut Malayalam film Albudhadweep (2005) directed by Vinayan. The movie, which was about a mysterious island where all the men are dwarfs and all the women are normal, created history by becoming the first Indian movie whose remake rights have been bought by Hollywood.

Like any other Malayalam actress, Mallika Kapoor later migrated to Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, where she has done a number of movies including Azhagai Irukkirai Bayamai Irukkirathu, Vathiyar, Allare Allari, Arputha Theevu, Puli Varudhu, State Rowdy, Savi Savi Nenapu and Ganga Kaveri. After a small break, she returned to the Malayalam scene�with Madambi in 2008,�opposite Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. Mallika Kapoor is currently busy with a Solla Solla Inikkum (Tamil),�opposite�upcoming�Navdeep.

Now, the news about this qualified fashion designer from NIFT is that she will soon be the heroine of�Jack and Jill (Malayalam)�directed by�Soman Kallikattu. Produced by Aravind Surya, K. Rajendran and Pappan under the banner of Surya Deva Creations, Jack and Jill also has Lal, Sai Kumar, Jagathy, Salim Kumar, Devan, Bheeman Raghu, Babu Raj, Remya Nambeesan, Sarika, Kanaka Latha, Bindhu Panikar and Ponnamma Babu in the cast.

The film's script is by N.R. Suresh Babu; Balachandran Chullikadu handles the dialogues; R.H. Ashok wields the camera; Vijaya Krishnan, Pyari and Ratheesh Kannan score music for lyrics penned by Vayalar Sarath Chandra Varma, Paappaachan Kadamakudi, Hariharan and Anil Vaadanamkurussi.
