Chaitanya is all set to appear in Venkat Prabhu's Telugu-Tamil bilingual film. It will mark his Tamil debut. The film is tentatively titled NC 22 as it marks Naga Chaitanya's 22nd film in this industry. It is also the 11th film to be directed by Venkat Prabhu and also his first Telugu directorial venture.
Earlier today, the production house Srinivasaa Silver Screen officially announced that Krithi Shetty of Uppena fame has been roped in Naga Chaitanya starrer NC22 as its female lead. Sharing a poster, they wrote, "A beautiful performer with ever smiling face and abundance of talent. Krithi Shetty has already shared the screen space with Naga Chaitanya before in Bangarraju, which was released earlier this year. The upcoming film marks their second collaboration together. Presented by Pavan Kumar, the yet-to-be-titled drama is bankrolled by Srinivasaa Chitturi of Srinivasaa Silver Screen. The father-son duo of Ilaiyaraaja and Yuvan Shankar Raja have reportedly been signed as the film’s music composers.
Earlier this year, Venkat Prabhu delivered the Silambarasan TR starrer Maanaadu and Manmatha Leelai, both of which opened to positive reviews from the audience and critics alike. Venkat Prabhu is known for his entertaining films that cater to all sorts of audiences. So it will be interesting to see what he has in mind with the Naga Chaitanya starrer.
On the work front, the Super 30 actress has four other films in her kitty - Aa Ammayi Gurinchi Meeku Cheppali, The Warriorr, Macherla Niyojakavargam, and Suriya 41 directed by Bala. On the other hand, Naga Chaitanya is currently awaiting the release of Thank You, which stars Raashi Khanna and Avika Gor as the leading ladies. He is also busy with the shoot of his web series debut Dootha which will stream on Amazon Prime Video. Chaitanya will also be making his Bollywood debut with Laal Singh Chaddha, which co-stars Bollywood actors Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor in the lead. The film is currently slated to hit the big screens on 11 August 2022.
