The buzz for Kaathal - The Core has been massive ever since it began filming and fans expect the film to be high on emotions, with the team also releasing a poster featuring Mammootty and Jyotika together in a photograph. The poster strongly suggested the film will be along the lines of a poetic love story backed by powerful emotions and we can expect both actors to come up with top-notch performances once again. Kaathal - The Core incidentally also marks Jyotika's big comeback in Malayalam cinema after 13 years when she starred in Seetha Kalyanam in 2009.
Kaathal - The Core has been in the news quite a lot of late after Jyotika's husband-actor Suriya paid a visit to the sets of the Malayalam film earlier this week, with Mammootty hosting a special lunch for the star and the film’s entire team. Videos and pictures from the shooting spot with Mammootty, Suriya, and Jyotika went viral and took social media by storm as well. Kaathal - The Core has also generated a lot of excitement as it is director Jeo Baby's next big film after The Great Indian Kitchen, which went on to receive universal critical acclaim, and earned him the Kerala State Film Award for Best Film and Best Screenplay, including the Best Sound Designer accolade for Tony Babu.
