Leading Telugu actor Sharwanand, best known among Tamil cinema audiences for his role in the smash hit 2011 film, Engaeyum Eppothum, met with a car accident on Sunday morning. The actor issued a clarification on social media that he's safe and there's no need to worry about anything after reports surfaced that he had sustained injuries in the incident. Taking to Twitter, Sharwanand wrote, "There has been news that my car met with an accident this morning. It was a very minor incident. I am absolutely safe and sound at Home with all your love and blessings. There is nothing to worry about. Thank you all for your concern. Have a great Sunday everyone. (sic)"

Photos and videos of Sharwanand at the spot of the incident are also going viral on social media, with the actor's latest statement coming as a big relief for his fans after reports began doing the rounds that he had suffered injuries. The news of the actor's accident comes after it was announced a few days back that he would be tying the knot with his fiance Rakshitha Reddy, an IT employee, on June 3 at the Leela Palace in Jaipur, Rajasthan.

On the work front, Sharwanand was last seen in the 2022 science fiction Telugu film, Oke Oka Jeevitham, which was also released in Tamil under the title Kanam, and featured him alongside Amala Akkineni, Ritu Varma, Nasser, Vennela Kishore, Priyadarshi, Sathish, Ramesh Thilak, and received largely positive feedback. The actor is currently attached to a couple of promising projects that are in various stages of development starting with a film with Raashii Khanna under filmmaker Krishna Chaitanya's direction. Sharwanand also has in his lineup the tentatively titled Sharwa 35, which will be directed by Telugu filmmaker Sriram Adittya.
