Leading Telugu actor Sharwanand is taking the next big step in his life as he got engaged to Rakshitha Reddy in an intimate ceremony in the presence of the couple's family members and close friends in Hyderabad, Telangana. The star announced the big news on his social media pages on Thursday, January 26, by sharing a few adorable photos from the traditional ceremony, while also introducing his fiance to the world for the first time. Several notable film industry celebrities wished Sharwanand and Rakshitha on the new phase in their lives, including his close friend and Telugu superstar Ram Charan, and his wife Upasana Konidela gracing the occasion.
Posting the engagement ceremony pictures with his fiance, Sharwanand wrote on Instagram, "I found the one for me ❤️ Rakshita ❤️" The happy couple exchanged rings, with Sharwanand seen at his dashing best in a simple off-white kurta, while Rakshita looked beautiful in a pastel blue saree. Congratulatory wishes have been pouring in for the newly engaged couple from celebrities in the comments section of the Telugu actor's posts on Instagram among whom include Anupama Parameswaran, Seerat Kapoor, and several other notable names.

On the work front, Sharwanand was last seen in the science fiction bilingual, Kanam (Tamil) and Oke Oka Jeevitham (Telugu), which was released last year to largely positive feedback. The actor is joining hands next with filmmaker Krishna Chaitanya and will see youth sensation Raashii Khanna as the female lead. Sharwanand made heads turn among Tamil cinema audiences in the 2011 rom-com Engeyum Eppodhum alongside Jai, Anjali, and Ananya, which was also blockbuster filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss' debut production venture. As for Rakshitha, she is said to be a techie from the U.S. and hails from an Andhra Pradesh political family.
