Talking about his first interaction with Thalapathy Vijay, director Vamshi said, "He is an observational person. He is someone who goes by his instincts and vibe with others. Any actor, connect with others through the vibe that they get and Vijay sir also goes by that. I narrated the story for one and a half hours and he liked it. He told me that we are doing it".

When Vamshi was asked if Thalapathy 66 would be a political film, the star director denied it and revealed that the Vijay starrer will be an emotional drama. "It is definitely not a political film. My core is emotions - all my films, Brindavanam, Oopiri (Thozha), and Maharshi, all have dealt with human emotions and that is my strength. So, Thalapathy 66 will also be an emotional film. Keeping in mind, Vijay sir's stardom, we are working on the screenplay", said Vamshi.

Vamshi also added that the female lead of the project isn't finalized. "We are still deciding on the female lead and the rest of the cast. From December, we will start telling you all the details", added Vamshi. Quite a few interesting takeaways, right?. So, Thalapathy 66 is going to be an emotional drama that will appeal to all kinds of audiences and the fans can expect the updates to start from December.
