A massive film right from the moment of its announcement earlier this year, Dhanush's Naane Varuven was launched on Saturday with a formal pooja. Being produced under Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner, the upcoming film has Dhanush teaming up with his brother and ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan after nearly a decade when they last worked in Mayakkam Enna. The Naane Varuven movie launch also saw Dhanush's parents grace the occasion, followed by Bigil and Meyaadha Maan fame Indhuja Ravichandran coming on board as the film's heroine, with the team also announcing that the shooting is kicking off today.

Naane Varuven has been carrying sky-high expectations ever since it was announced as it also has composer Yuvan Shankar Raja joining the Selvaraghavan-Dhanush combo after their previous successful collaborations in the 2000s. The three are coming back together once again for Naane Varuven fter working in Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and Yaaradi Mohini, with Selvaraghavan back in February singing praises for Yuvan saying he has delivered an exceptional song in the film. Producer Kalaipuli S. Thanu and Selvaraghavan released two new posters for Naane Varuven today showing Dhanush wearing a ranger's hat in one photo, while holding a rifle in another picture. Initially announced to roll into production in August, Naane Varuven's shooting had to be pushed as both Dhanush and Selvaraghavan had to complete work on their other films. Dhanush had finished an important schedule for his Thiruchitrambalam being produced by Sun Pictures, while Selvaraghavan wrapped up the production and dubbing works of his acting debut, Saani Kaayidhaam, which has him sharing screen space with Keerthy Suresh. Naane Varuven boasts an impressive technical crew that features names like Sillu Karuppatti cinematographer Yamini Yagnamurthy, Imaikkaa Nodigal fame Bhuvan Srinivasan for editing, with art direction by RK. Vijai Murugan, costume design by Kavya Sriram and Perumal Selvam as the costumer.
