A massive film in the making, Dhanush's Naane Varuven marks the reunion of the National Award-winning actor with his brother and acclaimed filmmaker Selvaraghavan after nearly a decade since their Mayakkam Enna. Plot details of the upcoming film are vague at this point, but the project has piqued the interests of fans everywhere after it was also announced that composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is scoring the music along with acclaimed cinematographer Arvind Krishna once again teaming up with Dhanush and Selvaraghavan.

Being produced by Kalaipuli S. Thanu's V Creations banner, Dhanush's Naane Varuven kicked off production in December last year, with Selvaraghavan a few days back showering huge praises for a song composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. On Wednesday, cinematographer Arvind Krishna this time took to his Twitter page to share a new glimpse of a song recording session with Selvaraghavan at Yuvan Shankar Raja's recording studio. Arvind Krishna tweeted an image of the hit director and the celebrated composer and wrote, "Had glimpse of a song in making. Magic!! Was good to see my friends @thisisysr and @selvaraghavan the Passion these two men have for cinema is something to be admired and learnt. #naanevaruven"

The announcement of Selvaraghavan, Dhanush, Yuvan and Arvind Krishna coming together once again and this time for Naane Varuven piqued the interest among fans considering the team was highly successful during the 2000s. A while back, two posters from the film featuring an uber cool Dhanush in absolute swag mode trended on social networking forums. Naane Varuven is the fifth time Selvaraghavan and Dhanush are working together after their previous films Thulluvadho Ilamai, Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai, Yaaradi Nee Mohini and Mayakkam Enna. Among them, Kaadhal Kondein, Pudhupettai and Mayakkam Enna were directed by Selvaraghavan, while Thulluvadho Ilamai and Yaaradi Nee Mohini had a screenplay written by the filmmaker.

Apart from Dhanush, no other cast members have been revealed in Naane Varuven, with actress Tamannaah's name doing the rounds on social media, despite no official word as yet on her casting from any of the team members. If indeed Tamannaah comes on board on the film, it will be the third time she will be seen opposite Dhanush after Venghai and Padikkadavan. As of now, filming on Naane Varuven is expected to continue to shoot well into the year. The upcoming film boasts an impressive technical crew that features names like Prasanna GK for editing, with art direction by RK. Vijai Murugan and costume design by Kavya Sriram, who is joined by Perumal Selvam as the costumer.
