Dhanush is one of the leading actors who has multiple projects at hand. He is celebrating his 48th birthday today, and a popular production house, Sri Venkateswara Cinemas, has announced that the actor's next project is tentatively titled D51. The film is set to be directed by National Award-winning filmmaker Sekhar Kammula. It will be the second film by the actor with in Telugu after Vaathi, which was released earlier this year. The makers have announced the project with a new poster that shows a skyline of Mumbai as backdrop with low-rising houses in the front, with a currency note bill connecting the two world. It is expected to be a period film as the currency note featured in the poster is an older one, that's out of circulation now. The makers have shared that the film will release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi. The poster was revealed with the caption "presenting to you all the Next of Multi-talented Dhanush D51." They have also added "Shoot Begins Soon". The makers had revealed the announcement ahead of the birthday of popular actor Dhanush.

The actor-director Dhanush, has an exciting line up films. His next film, Captain Miller, is to release in theatres on December 15th. D50 will be the next directorial venture of actor Dhanush and he is also playing lead in the film. More updates about the project are expected soon. The actor is also a part of Tere Ishk Mein, which could be a sequel to his film Raanjhanaa.
The director of D51, Sekhar Kammula, has directed many hit films, including Leader, starring Rana Daggubati, Anaamika, featuring Lady Superstar Nayanthara, Fidaa, with Varun Tej, and Sai Pallavi. His recent film, Love Story, was released in 2021 and starred Sai Pallavi and Naga Chaitanya. His next film with Dhanush has now been confirmed by the makers to be a Pan-Indian entertainer.
