Dhanush is one of the leading actors who is famous across India. D50 is the next project of the actor which will also mark his second directorial venture. The production house bankrolling the film Sun Pictures has revealed an exciting new update about the project. The makers have shared an new poster and have stated that the shooting of the film has begun today. The poster that's been released by the makers shows the back shot of the actor in a new look, sporting a shaven head, standing amidst rocks on the shore of a rock beach. The poster also shows some factories in the background, like in the announcement poster and shows strokes of red reaching the skies.

The project is the second directorial venture of Dhanush after the feel-good film Power Pandi. Actor Dhanush has also shared the poster and has said "Shoot Begins, Om Namashivaya”. The actor was seen recently in Tirupati Temple sporting a tonsured head with his sons Yatra and Linga. There were many speculations that the new look is for the film tentatively titles D50. Now, it is confirmed with the poster of the film that has been revealed. Other details about the cast and crew of the film are awaited.

Actor Dhanush has an exciting lineup of films. His upcoming release this year is Captain Miller which is directed by Arun Matheswaran. The film is in the last leg of shooting and is a massive action entertainer set in 1930s. Now, he has begun shooting his directorial film D50. The next project that is a part of is also announced. The actor is set to team up with the Bollywood filmmakers Anand L Rai and Music composer A.R. Rahman for the film titled Tere Ishq Mein. It was announced on the 10th anniversary of the film Raanjhanaa.
