Santhanam's DD Returns making video: cast and crew members share interesting details that makes this horror-comedy unique - WATCH VIDEO

Santhanam’s next big film, which is set to release on July 28, is DD Returns. The film is directed by S. Prem Anand, and the director and the actor have worked together since their television days. An exclusive making video of the film has been released on the Galatta Cinema YouTube channel that shows the efforts and hard work of the cast and crew of the film in making the horror comedy. The director began explaining that before writing the script, they decided the film should not have two things, as they had already done two films in the horror genre. He said, "The ghost should not take any revenge, and there should not be any priest character to control the ghost," and added they went on with a new idea.

The cast and crew of DD Returns spoke about the film in the video, saying the first half  will move in a fast way with a lot of fun moments, and the editor added the second half will have horror with humour. Popular supporting actor Redin Kingsley, actress Massom Shankar, who is playing the female lead in the film, and others also shared about the project. Multiple actors who have been a part of the film have shared that the sets of the film were huge and great and also spoke about the music in the film, which was composed by ofRo. The dance choreographer, Sandy, said there are two dance numbers in the film. The set director stated he knew the grandeur of the film while working on the maze set. The CG supervisor said the ghost in the film will also be different because it will have extensive CG. "I don't think anybody had done this attempt in Tamil". 

The cast and crew of DD Returns then said it would surely be a family entertainer. Apart from Santhanam, the film has a huge cast, including Surbhi, Redin Kingsley, Maran, Pradeep Rawat, Masoom Shankar, Fefsi Vijayan, Motta Rajendran, Munishkanth, Dheena, Thanga Durai, Deepa, and others.
