Popular Tamil actor-producer Soundararaja and his wife Tamanna have welcomed their first child, a baby girl. The news was shared by the actor on social media on Sunday along with a photo in which he and his wife can be seen with their newborn daughter. Sharing the joyous news, Soundararaja extended his gratitude to the wishes coming his way, while also informing fans that he is gifting a tree sapling to his daughter who has come into this earth. He tweeted, "This sapling is my first gift to my aspiring daughter who came to this earth today My heartfelt thanks for your love and blessings." Check out the photo below:

Soundararaja and Tamanna married in May 2018 in a grand wedding ceremony in Usilampatti, near Madurai in the presence of family members, close friends and several notable Tamil cinema stars. Tamanna is an entrepreneur and the CEO of Green Apple Entertainments, while Soundararaja has made appearances in a number of big Tamil films over the years. Among the major films he has starred in include his debut Vettai alongside Madhavan and Arya in 2012, which he followed up with a pivotal role in the Sasikumar and Vijay Sethupathi-starrer Sundarapandiyan. 

Soundararaja has also made heads turn in roles in blockbusters like Sivakarthikeyan's Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam, Karthik Subbaraj's Jigarthanda, Karthi's Kadaikutty Singam, including Vijay Sethupathi's Dharma Durai and 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Theri and Bigil, which turned out to be money-spinners at the box office. He was last seen in the Tamil crime web series Kuruthi Kalam and also played a big role in Dhanush's Jagame Thandhiram under Karthik Subbaraj's direction.
