Despite the entire film industry being in lockdown mode with all theatres continue to remain closed, Vijay fans are waiting with bated breath for updates on Master. The film was supposed to release on April 6th for Tamil New Year but now nobody knows when we can witness Master on screen. The makers have clearly mentioned that the film will not release directly on OTT platform like speculated by some earlier. The movie is all ready for release but is only expected to hit screens a couple of months after theatres reopen across the world as the international business for the movie too is expected to be high. Whenever, the film releases, it will have a huge opening without a doubt. Actor Arjun Das who rose to fame after featuring in Kaithi will be seen playing a pivotal role in Master as well. The actor has now shared a post explaining how the first day first show theatre experience of Master would be - “Theatres announce pre bookings open: call every1 you know asking them to arrange tickets; stay awake all night to reach 1hr b4 the show; just b4 the show; wait for gates to open; listen to ppl screaming “Thalapathy” #Master and then this. Absolutely priceless experience. Can’t wait.” Master could end up as game changer for a few promising talents featured in the film.

Master will see Makkal Selvan Vijay Sethupathi sharing screen space with Thalapathy Vijay for the first time in a movie. Malavika Mohanan plays the female lead in this movie, which has an ensemble cast including Sriman, Arjun Dass, Shanthnu, Ramya Subramanian, Brigida, Gouri Kishan, Sanjeev, Nagendra Prasad and a whole lot of others. Xavier Britto is bankrolling Master under the XB Film Creators banner. Sathyan Sooriyan is handling the cinematography while Philomin Raj is taking care of the editing. Aadai director Ratna Kumar is also associated as an additional screenplay writer, in Master. Rockstar Anirudh is scoring the music for Master and all the songs from the album have already gone viral and turned into chartbusters.
