Music composer Yuvan Shankar Raja, in one of his recent interviews, has revealed that it was A.R.Rahman who made the Tamil music composers perform at the recently concluded Dubai Expo 2020. Music directors Isaignaani Ilaiyaraaja, A.R.Rahman, Yuvan Shankar Raja, and Anirudh Ravichander performed their respective live concerts at the Dubai Expo 2020 and the program witnessed a huge turnover of crowds. Yuvan has now revealed that A.R.Rahman was the starting point for all the music directors to come and perform at the Expo.

Talking about it, he said, "A.R.Rahman is the main reason. When they had asked him to perform at the Expo, he said he would do only if other composers from our industry are also allowed to. It was him who convinced them. Just like how Cold Play and Shakira are brought there to perform, he cited my father's name, my name and Anirudh's, and said we also have artists of International standards who can perform at the Expo. He was the starting point for all of us to go and perform there. He need not have done this, but he did".

This indeed shows us the generosity and selfless nature of A.R.Rahman and his gesture has won the hearts of the people already. The clipping of Yuvan Shankar Raja talking about this has turned viral on social media, garnering the attention. Director Naveen of Moodar Koodam and Agni Siragugal (yet to be released) fame took to his official Twitter page to share the clipping and heap praises on A.R.Rahman for his gesture and Yuvan Shankar Raja for bringing this information to light.

A.R.Rahman, on the professional front, has multiple exciting projects in Kollywood and that includes Silambarasan TR's Vendhu Thanindhathu Kaadu and Pathu Thala, Sivakarthikeyan's Ayalaan, Chiyaan Vikram's Cobra, Parthiban's Iravin Nizhal, and more. Rahman is also working on the highly ambitious Mani Ratnam directorial, Ponniyin Selvan, that stars Chiyaan Vikram, Jayam Ravi, Karthi, Trisha, and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in the lead roles.
