Cannes Film Festival is an international event that is held in the French city of Cannes every year. This year it’s happening from 16th to 27 May and many popular film personalities from India and filmmakers, actors and actresses become a part of the film festival. Now, a new star-studded selfie from the venue has made headlines. The pictures were shared by retired ace cricketer Anil Kumble and it features the director turned actor Rajiv Menon, Love Today and Comali fame Pradeep Ranganathan, popular director Vignesh Shivan and Iconic actress Khushbhu or Kushboo Sundar. Sharing the picture the cricketer said “Celebrations in Cannes with..." and tagged the celebrities and it looks like he has attended the event with his wife Chetana Kumble and they also walked the red carpet. The director Rajiv Menon also attended the event with his wife and producer Latha Menon. The star-studded selfie has become viral on social media.

Director Rajiv Menon has replied to the post and said “It was a great time seeing the Anil Kumble in Cannes". The actress-politician Khushbu Sundar also gave a speech about the versatility of Indian cinema and the recent Oscar win amidst Indian delegates at the event and shared a reel of her speech. Directors Vignesh Shivan has been sharing photos from the French film festival on his social media regularly. He also shared his ID card from the event and posted about screening of films on Instagram stories.
On the work side, There are huge speculations that director Vignesh Shivan and Pradeep Ranganathan are set to team up for their next. It was reported that Vignesh Shivan will direct the film while the filmmaker who made his acting debut in the film Love Today will play the lead. In a recent interview with Galatta, The director said that there are talks going on about the project. Rajiv Menon recently played an important role in Vetri Maaran's Viduthalai Part 1 and is also a part of Weapon directed by Guhan Senniappan.
