The director Thiagarajan Kumararaja have an exclusive interview with Galatta Plus and was interviewed by the national award-winning film critic Baradwaj Rangan. When asked about his experience working with 'Isaignani' Ilayaraja for the first time for Modern Love Chennai, The director said he wanted to work with him (Ilayaraja) for a song and he has been one of the reasons why he makes films. He said “Myskkin first wanted me to work with him and said don’t miss the experience. But, he said 'I could introduce you to him but, I am not on good terms with him, still I could introduce you'. He (director Mysskin) said there was only two ways this can go. You both could go apart and he would say don't event show your face and let you go or it will work out well between the two of you. There is no middle path. I had a feeling It will be the latter. This has been one of the best experiences of my life. It’s one of the most exciting things. Generally, I would be in a flat mode right, that one month we were working together was extraordinary. In fact, after some days he (Ilayaraja) had a show and I started missing him so I messaged him and he also replied and we went to his studio. It was good fun. Initially, I was hesitant but, eventually it became very pleasant. I have never seen a sharper mind in my life, one of the greatest minds that you come across."
