Ajith Kumar's Thunivu is set to take over screens in theatres around the world when it releases for Pongal in January 2023 and preparations are underway to make it the biggest outing in the superstar's career. Directed by H. Vinoth, the upcoming film produced by Boney Kapoor's Bayview Projects LLP banner in association with Zee Studios is being released in Tamil Nadu by Red Giant Movies, while Lyca Productions is handling the overseas distribution. With promotions already in top gear, the makers released posters for each of the film’s main characters on Friday, December 30, giving us our first major glimpse into the world of Thunivu

The Thunivu team has been releasing character posters throughout the day, while also revealing their names in the film with the exception of Ajith. Two posters have been unveiled for the superstar, with the first showing him firing his gun, while the second one is carrying the announcement of the trailer release date along with the time, which is set for Saturday, December 31, at 7 p.m. Although it might have come as a bit of a disappointment for many Ajith fans that the actor's character name has not been revealed in the two Thunivu posters that have been released, the wait will no doubt turn out to be fulfilling when the trailer arrives tomorrow evening.

Thunivu is the Ajith, H. Vinoth, and Boney Kapoor trio's third consecutive film together after Nerkonda Paarvai and Valimai, and expectations are massive for them to come out firing on all cylinders with their new big-screen outing. Three songs namely 'Chilla Chilla', 'Kasethan Kadavulada', and 'Gangstaa' have turned out to be chart-topping hits and composer Ghibran will be aiming for the background score to be the icing on the cake when the film comes out in cinemas next month.
