The 99-minute no-interval horror thriller film released on December 22 has received a largely positive response from fans and critics, with praises pouring in for the tight packaging of the story and the performances of the star cast, which also features veteran actors Sathyaraj and Anupam Kher, followed by Vinay Rai and Haniya Nafisa in crucial roles.

In a note penned by herself, Nayanthara conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to everyone associated with Connect, while also thanking fans for their support of the film. She said, "It's been an eventful year for me and I'm filled with gratitude. Thank you to all film lovers and fans who have watched and supported our 'Connect'. And my gratitude to those who continue doing so, booking your tickets and enjoying show after show." Nayanthara added, "It's a genre-specific film and we have strived to do justice to you, the audience, and the genre. Our entire team has worked with utmost conviction and sincerity with this vision in mind."

Tipping her hat to the filmmaker of Connect, Nayanthara stated, "A big thank you to my director, Ashwin Saravanan, and his team for believing in me and being with me every step of the way. Your filmmaking is world class and I'm always happy to collaborate." She also credited the film's maker and said, "My gratitude and love to my producer, Vignesh Shivan, and our dream, Rowdy pictures. You took this film, the team, and yourself an extra mile with sheer determination. Thank you once again for producing, distributing, and releasing our film in the best way possible."

Nayanthara concluded her statement by saying, "We have taken in all your love, support, feedback, and criticism. And we hope to use this as a learning curve for our future ventures. Once again, thanking you all for your unconditional love and wishing you all a very happy and prosperous new year." The year has turned out to be a memorable one for Nayanthara and the leading South Indian actor will be looking to come out all guns blazing in 2023 as she will be seen in films that include Iraivan with Jayam, the tentatively titled Lady Superstar 75 being produced by ZEE Studios, Trident Arts and Naad Sstudios, and NT 81 under Ethir Neechal and Kodi fame Durai Senthilkumar's direction in Tamil, followed by her big Bollywood debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan under Atlee's direction.
