Popular Tamil actor Kalidas Jayaram, son of Malayalam superstar Jayaram, got engaged to model Tarini Kalingarayar in an intimate ceremony in the presence of family members and close friends on Friday, November 10. Photos and videos of the engagement ceremony have gone viral on social media showing the young couple looking happy and celebrating for their future ahead. Kalidas Jayaram made his relationship with Tarini official earlier this year on Valentine's Day, while the young actor's family introduced the model first during an Onam family photoshoot in 2022.
Kalidas Jayaram, who has made appearances in Malayalam and Tamil films over the years, looked dashing in a pink silk kurta and dhoti, while Tarini was her gorgeous best in a dazzling silver and pink-colored lehenga, with the engagement photos and videos also showing Jayaram, wife Parvathy and their daughter Malavika. Both Kalidas and Tarini, who won the Miss Tamil Nadu 2019 title, have been in a relationship for quite some time now, with congratulatory messages and wishes pouring in for the young couple from all quarters on social media on their engagement.
On the work front, Kalidas Jayaram, who is known best among Tamil cinema audiences for his roles in the web series Putham Pudhu Kaalai (2020) and Paava Kadhaigal (2020), and films Oru Pakka Kathai (2020), Vikram (2022) and Natchathiram Nagargiradhu (2022), will feature next in a key role in 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan's highly-anticipated Indian 2. Having won the National Film Award for Best Child Artist for his performance in director Sibi Malayil's Ente Veedu Appuvinteyum (2003), which also included his father Jayaram in the lead role, Kalidas is reportedly also a cast member in Dhanush's upcoming D50, which is said to be nearing the end of its production.
