'Thalapathy' Vijay's next big film, the tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, is currently being filmed in Thailand with director Venkat Prabhu and his crew. The upcoming film featuring music by composer Yuvan Shankar Raja is scheduled for a grand 2024 theatrical release and has a massive star cast among whom includes veteran actor Mohan or 'Mic' Mohan as he is called by fans also cast in a key role. For a while now, there have been rumors doing the rounds stating that Mohan is playing the antagonist in Vijay's Thalapathy 68, which rolled into production on October 2 after a formal pooja event in Chennai.

On Friday, November 10, Mohan, who is awaiting the release of his Hara, attended the Diwali celebrations at an old age home in Chennai and addressed the media, who queried him about Thalapathy 68 and whether he is playing the role of the villain. The iconic Tamil actor responded saying, "Please wait till the film comes out. Can we reveal the story, location, and schedule details now? It's a 'Thalapathy' film. Kindly wait." Mohan's reply about his role in Thalapathy 68 has once again left fans debating about who is playing the role of villain in the film considering there are several other big names in the star cast featuring the likes of Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Mohan, Jayaram, Laila, Sneha, Yogi Babu, Ajmal Amir, VTV Ganesh, including Venkat Prabhu's younger brother Premgi Amaren and his frequent collaborators Vaibhav, Aravind Akash, and Ajay Raaj

Thalapathy 68 is being made on a massive scale as per the film's team when they announced the film back in May. The film has Vijay paired with youth sensation Meenakshi Chaudhary of Kolai fame and it will be quite exciting to see them share the screen with the huge ensemble cast. Likewise, there is tremendous excitement among fans for Thalapathy 68 as it marks a big reunion for Vijay and Yuvan Shankar Raja after their Pudhiya Geethai (2003), and there will be huge expectations for the composer to deliver a memorable album and a power-packed background score.
