Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni celebrated his birthday recently and the entire social media was abuzz about it. We saw a lot of fan made posters and tribute videos surfacing on the internet. Dhoni has a humongous fan base that everybody knows about. But, how many of us know that even Thalapathy Vijay likes Dhoni? Interesting, right? Popular comedy actor Sathish, in his recent interaction with VJ Bhavna for Star Sports Tamil, talked about Vijay’s love for cricket. He also recollected his memories of watching cricket matches with Vijay while working with him in two films.

Sathish said, “Yeah, he (Vijay) watches a lot of cricket. While shooting for Kaththi in outdoor locations, we used to sit in one room and watch cricket together. Similarly, after a few years, when we were shooting for Bairavaa in Rajahmundry, we watched matches together. We also talked about a lot of cricket. He said his son (Jason Sanjay) really likes to watch cricket matches.

In fact, Vijay sir was the brand ambassador for Chennai Super Kings in the initial seasons. Dhoni is his favourite cricketer. If you ask about the similarities between Vijay and Dhoni, I’d first say it is fitness. Both of them are supremely fit, maintaining a great physique for their age. Another one would be the mass, definitely. Both of them have a great mass and powerful fan base. Vijay sir respects his fans so much and just like him, Dhoni also values his fans and followers very much.”

This video has gone viral among the fans and has made them delighted. A lot of them have been pleasantly surprised to know that Vijay is a great follower of cricket and Dhoni is one of his favourite cricketers.

Sathish's upcoming line up of films include Aayiram Jenmangal, Kannai Nambathey, 4G, Rajavamsam, Bhoomi, Pistha, Ranga, Teddy, Theemaithaan Vellum, Harbhajan Singh's Friendship, etc. Notably, Sathish will also be seen playing an interesting role in Superstar Rajinikanth's next mega biggie, Annaatthe, directed by Siva and produced by Sun Pictures.
