Silambarasan TR’s mother Usha Rajendran has recently surprised her son by gifting him a brand new Mini Cooper car. It is said that STR wanted to buy that car for a long time. His mother made his wish become true. The VTV actor is now travelling around the city in this Mini Cooper car and the several fans have spotted him. It is a known fact that Usha Rajendar loves her son STR so much and we have already witnessed several instances where she stood for him. The picture of the new car is now doing rounds on social media.

On the acting front, STR is currently shooting for his next political drama, Maanaadu, directed by Venkat Prabhu and produced by Suresh Kamatchi. This exciting film has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja, cinematography by Richard M Nathan and editing by Praveen KL. The shooting of Maanaadu is happening at Pondicherry with all the safety precautionary measures. Simbu will be seen playing the role of Abdul Khaaliq and it is going to be interesting to see how he aces the role. The first look poster of Maanaadu was released recently and it opened to a very good response from the fans and film buffs.

The film features an ensemble star cast that includes Bharathiraja, SA Chandrasekhar, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Karunakaran, Premgi Amaran, Manoj Bharathiraja, Daniel Annie Pope and others.

Before joining the sets of Maanaadu, Silambarasan TR had completed the shooting of Eeswaran in a record time of one month and a few days. The entire film was completely wrapped up in just one schedule that happened in Dindigul and its neighbouring areas. Simbu surprised everyone by his dedication and focus towards his work and he is currently progressing with a great momentum. Eeswaran is directed by Susienthiran and produced by Balaji Kappa under the banner of Madhav Media.

This rural action entertainer features Bhoomi fame Nidhhi Agerwal as the female lead and veteran director Bharathiraja and comedian Balasaravanan in pivotal roles. Eeswaran, which is currently in the post production stages is scheduled to release in the theatres for the festive occasion of Pongal, next year.

Apart from these two films, Simbu will also be seen in an extended cameo in Hansika’s 50th film, Maha, directed by debutant UR Jameel. Happening days ahead for Silambarasan TR and his fans!
