A Netflix venture fans have been waiting with bated breath since its announcement a couple of years back is the upcoming Telugu anthology film, Pitta Kathalu, set to premiere on February 19. Anthologies have turned out to become a success of late, with Paava Kadhaigal in Tamil, a compilation of four stories that delved on topics like honour killing, LGBTQ, and more, grabbed the attention of fans from across the country. Acclaimed filmmakers namely Vetri Maaran, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Sudha Kongara, and Vignesh Shivan had come on board Paava Kadhaigal with their creative touch and made it a huge success, with all sights now set on the Telugu anthology Pitta Kathalu to follow suit on a similar path. 

Said to be based on Netflix's Lust Stories in Hindi and not a direct remake, Pitta Kathalu will also be a take on modern-day relationships from the perspective of women. The upcoming Telugu anthology film has reputed filmmakers like Tharun Bhascker Dhassyam (Pelli Choopulu), Sankalp Reddy (The Ghazi Attack), Nag Ashwin (Mahanati), and Nandini Reddy (Oh Baby). Pitta Kathalu also includes an impressive star cast featuring names like Amala Paul, Shruti Haasan, Eesha Rebba, and Lakshmi Manchu playing the four leads in four different stories and are supported by Ashwin Kakamanu, Jagapathi Babu, Saanve Megghana, Sanjith Hegde, among others. 

Pitta Kathalu has been produced by Ronnie Screwvala’s RSVP Movies in association with Flying Unicorn Entertainment. The synopsis released by the makers reads, "Four different women, four journeys of love and betrayal. The common thread? They all want to dismantle the patriarchy". With the premiere date announced already, the much-awaited Pitta Kathalu trailer was released on Friday and is a bold take on modern-day relationships, with Amala Paul and Shruti Haasan, the most notable Tamil film industry names in the film, appearing in a few bold scenes. We can be sure that Pitta Kathalu after its release later this month will be a much-talked about film among fans. The trailer shows us that there will be plenty of romance, intimacy, and emotions, which have been packed in a neat manner. The challenges of love and intimacy among couples seems to be crux of the story and we can assume the film will be an emotional rollercoaster.
