Director Lokesh Kanagaraj is eagerly waiting for the release of his next film, Master, which stars Thalapathy Vijay in the lead role. The expectations are huge among the fans and it is touted to showcase Vijay in a completely different dimension. The fans are waiting to witness the epic face off and clash against Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi which is going to be one of the major attractions of Master. Produced by XB Film Creators, Master has music scored by Anirudh Ravichander who has delivered a chartbuster album that has played a crucial role in keeping the film in buzz amidst the pandemic and the unexpected delay in release.

Not just fans, even general audiences and film buffs have pinned high hopes on the film because of director Lokesh Kanagaraj who garnered a lot of attention last year with his film, Kaithi, that starred Karthi in the lead role. Kaithi was a film that won the hearts of the Tamil audience and turned out to be a huge success at the box office. The film earned highly positive reviews from the critics as well. Kaithi didn’t have a heroine or any songs and it stuck to the core premise and story right from the beginning and that aspect impressed a lot of people.

The story of Kaithi revolves around Dilli, a prisoner who gets released after years and is on his journey to meet his daughter for the first time. What problems does Dilli face during the course of this journey was told in a gripping manner with some high octane action sequences. Lokesh Kanagaraj’s smart writing and intense screenplay, Sam CS’ powerful background score, Sathyan Sooryan’s neat visuals, and Anbariv’s stunt choreography elevated the overall movie watching experience.

Wonder why we are talking about Kaithi now? This critically acclaimed blockbuster film has been selected for official screening at the prestigious International Indian Film Festival, Toronto 2020. Director Lokesh Kanagaraj shared his excitement about this on his Twitter page and thanked his entire team for backing up throughout the project. Wishes have been pouring in for Lokesh Kanagaraj and the team of Kaithi from various quarters and it is indeed a special moment.

This film festival will happen between August 9 and August 15. Kaithi will be screened on August 12 at 6 PM. The other notable Indian films which will be screened in this festival include Nani's Jersey, Fahadh Faasil's Trance and Hrithik Roshan's Super 30. Check out Lokesh Kanagaraj’s tweet below:
