The young and talented Gouri Kishan who garnered attention with her impressive performance as the young Jaanu in the Vijay Sethupathi - Trisha starrer 96, has signed a new Tamil film. Yes! Gouri Kishan will be playing the female lead in an untitled film that will have Andhaghaaram fame Vinoth Kishan as the other lead. Vinoth Kishan received highly positive reviews for his impactful performance as Selvam, a blind man, in the recently released Andhaghaaram that was raved by the critics and audience. This new film is directed by Jegan Vijayamuthu and has ace actress Rohini playing an important role.  

Sharing this news on her social media page, Gouri wrote, “I’m happy to announce my next Tamil project as a lead alongside the brilliant Vinoth Kishan, Rohini ma’am and Sachin Mani. Directed by Jagan, and his superb team of technicians, this sure is going to be an exciting venture! Need all your blessings. It's just that, very rarely do you come across scripts that instantaneously blows your mind away! And the slip was a result of being on-board a very exciting project and the thrill. Always wish for you all to have me in your good thoughts. Have an amazing dayyyyy!”.

Similarly, actor Vinoth Kishan was also positive and happy about this new project. He posted, “Starting this exciting journey with Amazing companions @gourigkofficial @sachinmaniofficial and @rohinimolleti ma'am. Directed by @jagan_vijaya Thank you for believing us brother :)”. Details regarding the film’s premise and the technical crew are yet to be known.

Up next, Gouri Kishan will be seen in the highly anticipated and much awaited Thalapathy Vijay starrer, Master in which she would be seen playing an important role. Gouri will be seen as a college student in this action drama and we saw a glimpse of her character in the already released teaser. Master is scheduled to release in the theatres on January 13 and the film is expected to have a grand opening at the box office.

After Master, Gouri’s next release will be Karnan which has Dhanush playing the lead role. Karnan is touted to be a very important film in Tamil cinema and it is said to have dealt with a very relevant theme. The film is directed by Mari Selvaraj who made a striking debut with Pariyerum Perumal.
