Sandalwood actor Diganth who was expected to play the lead in Pawan Kumar's Lucia has opted out of the film due to date issues. Ninasam Sathish will now play the lead.
On being quizzed about the reason for opting out, Diganth said, “Pawan wanted me to give him six months of uninterrupted schedule for the film. I cannot afford to give bulk dates for a single film, as I have a mega budget film with Kodi Ramakrishna that starts from June. I also told Pawan that I will act in the project, if he starts shooting for the movie immediately. But, he refused. I cannot make Kodi wait. So, I walked out of the film.”
Talking about Diganth, director Pawan said, “It's his wish to opt out of the film. I cannot start the project in a hurry, so I asked the actor to wait. Anyway, my movie will not be affected.”
