It is a testing time for the people around the world, especially in India now considering the second COVID-19 wave is leaving many testing positive for the illness, with the death toll as well seeing a big increase every day. With people taking to social media and other avenues in search of beds in hospitals to oxygen cylinders, the second wave has no doubt worsened the situation across the country, with various states beginning to impose strict lockdowns once again. As the numbers for those infected by the novel coronavirus continues to be on the rise, we have witnessed many notable names from the Tamil film and entertainment industry testing positive for the disease.

In that light, popular actress and Bigg Boss 4 star Gabriella Charlton too has now informed fans that she tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week in spite of taking all necessary precautions. Conveying the message to stay home and stay safe, Gaby posted a note on her Instagram page saying she is doing okay and is being taken care of. She wrote, "Hi makkaley! In spite of taking all necessary precautions, I tested positive for COVID 19 earlier this week. Thank you for your love. I’m well taken care of and I’m doing okay. Please stay home and stay safe."

Gabriella's presence on Bigg Boss Tamil season 4, which came to a conclusion a few months back, was mighty big as she came close to entering the finals, but eventually backed away with a cash prize of Rs. 5 lakhs. There had been a wide debate on her decision to leave Bigg Boss 4, with a number of fans coming to the support of her actions, while a certain section criticized her for quitting when she had a good opportunity to pose a tough fight for the title. Post Bigg Boss Tamil 4, Gaby has been participating in the ongoing Bigg Boss Jodigal, with fans now wondering if the show could get delayed as she would not be able to contest for the next few days due to being in home quarantine. As of now, there has been no word from Vijay TV on whether Bigg Boss Jodigal will be delayed, with fans now praying for Gabriella to make a quick recovery.
