Allu Ramalingaiah has worked in more than 1,000 Telugu films and was conferred with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 1990 for his contribution towards arts and the Telugu entertainment industry. Some of his most memorable films include Mayabazar, Missamma, Muthyala Muggu, Sankarabharanam among others.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun is currently working on his upcoming next, Pushpa, under Sukumar’s direction and is touted to be an action film, which has him paired opposite South Indian sensation Rashmika Mandanna, who is playing the female lead. The film will reportedly show him playing the role of a sandalwood smuggler, with production yet to resume after it was shut down indefinitely in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown.
Allu Arjun has been in good spirits for sometime, especially after the mega blockbuster box office success of his last film, Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, under Trivikram Srinivas' direction. The action-drama also included Pooja Hegde as the female lead and her chemistry with Allu Arjun turned out to be a big plus for the film. Furthermore, a major strength for the film was its supporting cast that included names such as Tabu, Jayaram, Sushanth, Navdeep, Nivetha Pethuraj, Samuthirakani, Murali Sharma, Rajendra Prasad among others, while also featuring chart-buster music by S Thaman.
