Kangana Ranaut resumes work on Thalaivi after 7 months - breaking update here!
Actress Kangana Ranaut’s name has been on the headlines for the past few weeks due to various controversies that were surrounding her. After all the chaotic incidents, Kangana is all set for getting back to work. Yes! She would very soon be resuming shoot for her next, Thalaivi, which is the biopic of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister, J Jayalalitha. The shooting of this bilingual film will begin next week and Kangana has already left from Mumbai for shoot. It is said that she will prepare for the scenes beforehand. Kangana took to her Twitter page to share the news with her followers and well wishers.
Sharing a few selfie pictures of her, Kangana wrote, “Dear friends today is a very special day, resuming work after 7 months, travelling to southern India for my most ambitious bilingual project THALAIVI, need your blessings in these testing times of a pandemic. P.S just clicked these morning selfies hope you all like them”. Thalaivi will feature Kangana Ranaut playing the titular role, while Arvind Swami will be seen as MG Ramachandran. The promo teaser of Arvind Swami’s look as MGR created a huge buzz on social media and his portions are said to be one of the major highlights of the films.
Thalaivi is directed by Vijay of Madarasapattinam and Deiva Thirumagal fame and has music scored by G.V.Prakash Kumar who is in great form as a composer. Talking about the film’s music in a recent live video, GV Prakash had said, “The music of Thalaivi will definitely be talked about. We have tried to recreate the retro feel with the tunes, visuals and the dance. Kangana is an extraordinary actor and with Vijay’s direction, I am sure the film is going to come out really well. I am so excited,”.
Madhoo, Poorna, Jisshu Sengupta, Samuthirakani, and Bhagyashree play supporting roles. Produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh Singh, Thalaivi has cinematography by Vishal Vittal. Veteran writer K.V.Vijayendra Prasad has penned the screenplay of this film which is being made as a pan Indian film in Tamil and Hindi and it will have a dubbed release in other languages. The film’s release date is also yet to be locked.
