Recently, a section of students from PSBB School in Chennai accused their school's Commerce Teacher, Rajagopalan, of making sexual advances. The incident came as a shocker for the entire state of Tamil Nadu and we witnessed a massive outrage on social media. With immediate effect, the Police arrested Rajagopalan on charges of sexual harassment. He is currently being inquired by the Police and further details are awaited. Meanwhile, actor Vishal has now issued a statement requesting strict action to be taken against the teacher and he also asked the people not to change this topic into a communal issue.

Vishal's official statement read, "The sexual harassment by a teacher from PSBB makes me cringe & realise that the school should be shut, not once anyone has apologised to the students / parents affected, such crimes should be taken really harshly, I request my friend Anbil Mahesh, the Minister for School Education to take a very strong step so that such incidents never happen again. It's a disgrace that people are changing this topic into a communal issue. I hope that person who actually harassed the students be hanged for future teachers & schools to know that this is a crime that has to be immediately attended. At least now, apologise to the students/parents and not make it a communal issue". Vishal's statement has got a welcoming reception from the netizens and let us wait for further developments on this case.

Vishal, on the acting front, is currently busy with his untitled next (Vishal 31), directed by debutant Thu Pa Saravanan. Produced by Vishal Film Factory, the film features Dimple Hayathi as the female lead and has music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja. The shooting of the movie is currently stalled due to the second wave of Covid 19 and the shoot is expected to resume when the situation gets under control.

Enemy (directed by Anand Shankar) and Thupparivaalan 2 are the other films in Vishal's filmography. For now, check out Vishal's latest statement about the PSBB teacher's sexual harassment case here:
