A lot of movies have been made and are still being made with two or more top actors together. The movie becomes a hit most of the time. One such movie is Ilamai Oonjaladugiradhu, which brought Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan together and the movie was a huge hit. It was directed by Sridhar and music by Ilayaraja. The latest buzz is that the film is being remade again with STR and Dhanush playing the leads. It seems STR will replace Kamal Haasan and Dhanush will replace Rajinikanth.

A number of upcoming films have two or more top actors roped in to play the lead. Some of them are Ajith-Arya starrer untitled Vishnuvardhan film, Arya-Jai starrer Raja Rani and Nakul-Shanthanu starrer Amali Thumali. Jayam Ravi and Jiiva too will be seen in a film together.
