Galatta.com yesterday reported that Pakistani actress, who kick started a new controversy for posing nude, has been signed to play the lead role in the South version of Dirty Picture. 'Super excited to be the part of south film industry.....just signed "THE DIRTY PICTURE".....!!!' she tweeted. But now it looks like the actress has been signed by South Indian filmmaker Venkatappa to play the lead role in Dirty Picture: Silk Sakkath Maga. The film will be directed by Trishul and Venkatappa's son Akshay will play the lead role.
Now it looks like the film will have a fresh script and it will not be a remake of super hit Bollywood biographical drama The Dirty Picture, which received numerous awards including the National Award for the Best Actress (Vidya Balan) and box office collections last year.
