Blockbuster South Indian music director Thaman. S has revealed that an extra track has been to the Varisu OST, which is scheduled to be released on August 15. The hit composer announced earlier today that there will be a total of 22 tracks in the original soundtrack album of the 'Thalapathy' Vijay-starrer, which came out in theatres this January and has since gone on to become a spectacular box office success. Sharing a picture of the full track list on X, Thaman posted, "FEAST GETTING READY 🔥 #VarisuOST TRACK LIST !! ⭐️🙌🏿 Added One MORE ITS 22 TRACKS NOW LETS CELEBRATE OUR Dear #Thalapathy 🏆🔥 (sic)".

The Varisu OST is finally set to be released tomorrow after a long wait considering the film came out earlier this year, with Thaman since then being held up with his other film commitments. It was previously revealed that there would be 21 tracks, with the composer's latest announcement receiving a warm response from fans. Earlier this month, Thaman explained the reason for the delay in releasing the Vijay-starrer's background score and said in his post on X, "Guys #VarisuOst is 100 % coming it has more than 25 Solid tracks .. I am working on it . Delay is due to ongoing commitments. I have to put my heart ❤️ and send it with love to u all !! I knw I have delayed it but this time I Will Not miss it ❗️ #Aug15th i will surely Release it in a Grand Way 🫶💯 (sic)".

Thaman's songs in Varisu turned out to be chart-busters, including the 'Ranjithame' track, which went on to stay at the top for several weeks after its release. The film grossed more than 300 crores in worldwide collections and was yet another feather in the cap for Vijay in his glorious career. Directed by Vamshi Paidipally under hit Telugu producer-distributor Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner, the mass family drama entertainer also included national sensation Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead, while the ensemble star cast featured the likes of Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Khushbu, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Ganesh Venkatraman, VTV Ganesan, to name a notable few.
