Hit South Indian films composer S. Thaman surprised fans on Tuesday, June 27, by revealing that the long-awaited original soundtrack for 'Thalapathy' Vijay's blockbuster Varisu will be out before July. The chart-buster music director first responded to a tweet by the film's lead actress Rashmika Mandanna, who earlier shared a video from a wedding, where a kid's dance to the 'Ranjithame' song had gone viral. Thaman, in his response, agreed with Rashmika saying that the boy's dance in a single stretch for the entire song was cute, and then addressed another fan about the Varisu OST. He tweeted, "Before this #July I will do it Nanba #VarisuOST 🫶 (sic)".

Thaman had apparently replied to another social media user instead of the fan who originally posted the query about the Varisu OST. Fans are now wondering whether the BGM score for the Vijay-starrer will be released sometime this week since only there are only three more days before June comes to an end. Thaman's songs in 'Thalapathy' Vijay's Varisu even before its theatrical release had received an incredible response, with his work in the background score department after the film came out in cinemas garnering him appreciation from all quarters.
The songs in Varisu continue to be at the top of the charts five months after the film came out in theatres and we can expect fans to once again witness Vijay in action on streaming on Amazon Prime Video after the release of the full background score. The family action drama directed by Telugu filmmaker Vamshi Paidipally under hit producer-distributor Dil Raju's Sri Venkateswara Creations banner went on to become a massive box office success raking in more than 300 crores in worldwide collections. Varisu has Vijay and Rashmika sharing screen space alongside an ensemble star cast featuring the likes of R. Sarathkumar, Prabhu, Prakash Raj, Shaam, Srikanth, Yogi Babu, Jayasudha, Sangeetha Krish, Samyuktha Shanmughanathan, Nandini Rai, Ganesh Venkatraman, Sriman, VTV Ganesan, Bharath Reddy, Sanjana starred in supporting roles, with SJ Suryah making a cameo appearance.
