The recent film of ‘Thalapathy’ Vijay that was released in theatres is Varisu. The Tamil-Telugu Bilingual film was released in January and became an instant blockbuster hit. The film, directed by Vamshi Paidipally, also had music composed by Thaman. As fans have been waiting for the release of the Original soundtrack from the film. The director has now confirmed that the OST will surely release on August 15th. Thaman has tweeted, "Guys, the Varisu OST is 100% coming it has more than 25 tracks. I am working on it. Delay is due to ongoing commitments. I have to put my heart into it and send it with love to u all! I knw I have delayed it, but this time I will not miss it. August 15 will surely release it in a grand way." (sic)

Music composer Thaman has been hinting about the release of Varisu's OST for a long time, and now, he has confirmed that it will surely release on August 15 for Independence Day and will feature more than 25 tracks. The songs from the film, which was released over six months ago, became a huge hit and is still a favourite for many. In the post, He has also apologised to fans, saying the delay is due to his ongoing commitments. Thaman has many anticipated projects at hand, including Nandhamuri Balakrishna’s Bhagavanth Kesari, Guntur Kaaran featuring Mahesh Babu, Shankar and Ram Charan’s highly anticipated Game Changer, and Pawan Kalyan’s OG.
