Rashmika's D51 is one of the big projects she is currently attached to as she also has in the pipeline the much-awaited Animal opposite Bollywood superstar Ranbir Kapoor in Hindi, which is scheduled to open in theatres on December 1. She will be reprising her role as Srivalli in the highly-anticipated Pushpa 2: The Rule alongside Allu Arjun, with production still underway. Rashmika is also filming Dream Warrior Pictures' Tamil-Telugu bilingual Rainbow with Shaakuntalam fame Dev Mohan under Shantharuban's direction. Dhanush's D51 was first announced in June 2021 and there are huge expectations for director Sekhar Kammula to hit the bullseye once again, who is known for his Dollar Dreams, which earned him the National Award in his directorial debut, followed by films like Happy Days, Leader, Life Is Beautiful, Anaamika, Fidaa, and Love Story. Dhanush too will be looking to come out firing on all cylinders in D51, which is touted to be a period film set in the 1980s-90s.
