Meghna: Going the de-glam way
Suddenly we get to see most of the glamour queens in deglamorised roles. After Shamila Mandre, now it is turn Meghna to join the bandwagon of heroines in deglamorised roles. Previously known to portray all modern characters, Meghna is very excited about her upcoming Telugu flick Deadly2 in which she plays role of a strong middle class girl and will also be seen in traditional attires throughout.
She has played the role of a modern girl in two films: Venita In Sankata and Bengaloored. Though she played the role of a modern girl in both these films, the demands were different, since one was a comical role and one was very serious.
With Deadly2 being a sequel to Deadly Soma, there's no denying the comparisons that are bound to take place between Meghna and Rakshita, who acted in the first part. But Meghna's role is said to have no relation to that of Rakshita.
Moreover, Deadly2 promises to be a big break in Meghna career. Aditya is the hero and Suhasini Mani Ratnam plays a prominent role in the film.
